It's a big one. Pregnancy weeks 27-31
The past few weeks have been crazy busy. My regular posts have been interrupted by work and a new project I will be announcing soon. But now I am catching up with the last 5 weeks of shoots. I decided to do a few things different on a couple shoots. Different camera, color film, etc. Enjoy, and as always if you want me to shoot your pregnancy, family, birth story, whatever, drop me a line here.

Warped Tour | David Miller Photography
A few weeks ago I won a contest from a local radio station to be one of their official Warped Tour photographers. I got a press pass and got to shoot the bands from in front of the barriers. As far as that particular music scene goes, I'm an old man at 27. I didn't know most of the bands that were there, but there were a few I was beyond excited about shooting.
I haven't been this excited about a shoot in a while. It was a great break from my photographic routine. I couldn't take my Polaroid, so my go to camera is out. I had to pack light(ish) since it was 110 degrees with limited shade. So I can't pack everything like normal. And it wasn't portraits, models, or place settings at a wedding. I had no clue what I was doing and I had no rut to fall back into for these shots. It was relieving. It was liberating.

I Am a Father: Part 1
For those of you who didn't know, I am a father to a very active, very interesting child. When we can get him to wear clothes it usually involves a cape, or pirate hat, or mask.
These images capture him. They may be out of focus and the lab messed up some rolls, but these re still him.
Unlike mot fathers I am the stay-at-home parent. I have a unique opportunity to be involved with my sone the way most fathers can't. I see a great responsibility to document it. This is the first of what I hope to be a long series of my adventures in fatherhood.

Pregnancy Weeks 4 and 6 | IT'S A GIRL | David Miller Photography
We finally made our way to the doctor and he told us it is a GIRL! Ridiculously excited and scared at the same time. But that is for another post...maybe. For now enjoy the last few weeks of pictures.
Apparently there is a face in there, I don't see it.

Calvin and Max
We moved into our house about 18 months ago and it didn't take long for Calvin to make a best friend, Max. Max has snuck out of his house countless times to come see Calvin. Calvin can't seem to go more than a day or two without Max. They are best friends like you have never seen.
Unfortunately, Max and his family had to move away. Only temporarily, but a year is a long time when you're 3. So I made sure to get a few pictures of Max and Calvin together doing what they do best.
This first image sums up their friendship pretty well. Max being the aggressor, and Calvin being distracted by his hands.

My wife is pregnant - Week 1 | David Miller Photography
My wife, Angie, is pregnant. She asked me to document the progress every week, but she said I could do it how I wanted. So, naturally, I chose to shoot Polaroids. Here are week 1 and week 2 of documenting.
If anyone is interested in having me document your pregnancy, birth, wedding, bar mitzvah, whatever, drop me a line.

The Chase
Last Sunday Calvin and I were playing out side and I was determined to get a good headshot of him. He was very good at evading me and the cameras focus. To see some behind the scenes of check this out.

Easter
This was Calvin's first Easter wer he cared even a little bit about what was happening. This year we went to my Sister-in-law's in-laws house for the Easter egg hunt. Enjoy the images.
